Labuan - Banten Provincial Government estimates that there are 1,800 coastal houses that need to be relocated due to the Sunda Strait tsunami. Locations for relocation will be prepared in areas that are safe from disasters.
"The number is still being updated. There are 1,300 to 1,800 houses. That is from Anyer to Sumur, our region," said Banten Governor Wahidin Halim in Labuan, Pandeglang, Thursday (01/03/2019).
Wahidin said that the location prepared was not too far from their daily activities. Especially for those who previously worked as fishermen.
"We are coordinating with the National Land Agency (BPN), which land can be used as land for relocation," he explained.
At present the budget requirements for relocation will be discussed, including with the ministry that will help relocate. From the latest information, Wahidin said the budget was prepared by relevant ministries, such as the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of BUMN, to BNPB, including local governments.
"We will get this data (building) and how many houses. We are very careful, later it will be wrong, we will be subject to corruption," he said.
Wahidin also requested assistance from TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto for the relocation process until the construction of the dwelling.
